My earlier views regarding love concerned themselves with the deterioration of love and the notion that love has been lost and distorted in a modern day society. The archaic poster I depicted of a man and woman passionately kissing emphasised this issue. By posting the image around the city centre and recording its direct deterioration this acted as a metaphor in correspondence to my ideas. However through excessive research my ideas regarding this matter have now changed.
About My Work
In my opinion I consider love to be an experience, and more importantly it is these experiences that reveal the true answers behind the question of love. To initiate the discussion of such experiences I asked people a series of questions in order to unveil a rich soup of personal stories and raw emotion. Public participation is key in creating my work; interviews have now become my depictions offering my audience an insight into a somewhat private and intimate subject that I have found many refuse to discuss.
